Terror Lawsuit Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who is eligible to participate in this lawsuit?
Citizens of all countries killed, injured or directly affected (parent, child, sibling) by a terrorist attack in Israel after September 2000.

2. How can a non-American citizen file a lawsuit in the U.S.?
The US Alien Torts Claim Act enables citizens of foreign countries to successfully file lawsuits involving violations of international norms.

3. Which institutions are the defendants in these cases?
The lawsuits filed thus far have been against a single defendant – the Jordanian based Arab Bank. We are currently researching and investigating additional defendants.

4. If I am eligible and want to participate in a lawsuit, what should I do?
Complete the form below for more information. One of our representatives will contact you. You can also call 1800-280288 in Israel or 214-939-8711 in the United States.

5. Is there a consultation fee for discussing my eligibility for participating in a lawsuit?
No. There is no consultation fee at any time. There are no legal fees and no expenses unless money is recovered as a result of the lawsuit.

6. What are my financial obligations to join the lawsuit?
None. These cases are being handled on a contingency fee basis. This means that the law firms involved will be entitled to collect a percentage of any settlement or judgment, if the lawsuit is successful. If the lawsuit is not successful and no funds are recovered, then the clients will not be charged any legal fees or any costs for expenses.

7. If I meet the eligibility requirements, do I automatically become a plaintiff?
No, each case has to be evaluated individually. We take our responsibility very seriously to ensure that we make the strongest possible case for our clients. This means that we carefully screen each prospective case and set of facts and make a separate determination in each matter. The decision on whether we handle a particular case is solely within our discretion.
